Huzzah! I'm glad you felt able to stand up to the bullies, too. I hate that the loudest and rudest voice is so often the one that sets policies and becomes the voice of the organisation.
we are all so powerless to do anything, except to keep telling them we love them.
That's really important - so many people pull away from sick and dying people and their families, so just knowing that you're not running away will be a big help to them. I have almost none of the friends I had before I had cancer, because when I was too sick to keep up my side of the relationship, they didn't bother.
